Moved by stories of grief-struck children who lost their parents and all supporting life-lines due to the catastrophe in Uttarakhand, superstar Madhuri Dixit has been consistently trying to do her bit to help build the lives of the flood-ravaged victims. The actress will be lending her support to Star India’s initiative
Saath Hai Hum Uttarakhand, a seven-hour marathon fund-raiser on August 15, aimed at providing a ray of hope to the children of Uttarakhand.
Using her strength and fan-following, Madhuri will directly reach out to her followers urging them to take a step towards helping Uttarakhand‘s children.

Star India's fund-raiser will be a seven-hour marathon event on the occasion of Independence Day. This will be the first such effort by the entertainment industry to alleviate the sufferings of people impacted by the floods. The event will be aired on all key channels of Star India network including flagship Star Plus, Life OK, Star Utsav, Star Pravah and Channel V.
